Beaches in Portugal
The region includes the entire southern Algarve coast of Portugal, from Cape St. Vincent in the west to the border with Spain. It is the southernmost area of the continent.
Faro is the capital city of the region and has an international airport.
Do Algavre
The Algarve is so fabulous that it is hard to believe in its existence. The entire coast of the beautiful beaches, clear water and rocky bays. Just a half hour drive inland, and begin to forests and wyżyny.W Algarve is hilly terrain, cut by fertile valleys.
Center of the region attracts tourists by orange groves and olive trees, cork oaks powerful and wonderful aroma of pine and eucalyptus forests.
Algarve is one of the sunniest areas in Europe. Before the winds from the north coast is sheltered by low mountains, where several bands spread its August at a distance of several to tens of kilometers almost parallel to the coastline of the Algarve.
Warm beaches are counted among the most beautiful in the world, such as the beach of Praia da Marinha in Lagoa.
Very popular among tourists is the town of Lagos. It is the center of the Algarve and one of the bigger resorts. Lagos has a beautifully maintained old town with its typical narrow streets.
Albufeira is amazing for tourists looking for entertainment. A beautiful old town, beach and an incredible number of bars is an offer for cost-conscious and discerning tourists. Personally, I was in this place 2 times and what I loved it - great bars with live music. The level of local musicians and visitors is quite high and really pleasant to listen to them.
The history of the Algarve
Not only the Mediterranean climate and attractive scenery attract tourists to the Algarve. Algarve region has a great historical past and perfectly preserved monuments of culture and art, particularly the magnificent reign of the Moors. The largest city is Algavre Faro, Lagos, Portimão, Vila Real de Santo António, Olhão da Restauração, Albufeira.
